Muse Writing Circle
MUSE is an experience, drawing from movement and writing, that takes us out of the analytical mind and into the creative, intuitive imagination. MUSE is a journey. It’s a place to write your stories, express your truths, listen as an art form, and empower your voice. There’s no way to do it wrong, and you know you’re doing it right because it feels honest, true.
This is not an academic writing workshop, focusing on critique; rather this is an in-person supportive circle for generative writing.
Session Flow: Sips, Soup, & Sweets | Centering, Writing, Sharing, & Integration.
In this two-hour circle, we’ll enjoy wine and tea from The Secret Garden, along with a nourishing vegan soup, delicious sourdough from Bread Bike Bakery, and something sweet—always!
This is an intimate circle. Space is limited. Once I receive your registration, I will send you more details, including the location.
You have three options to register: drop-in, 6-month, or a 1-year subscription.
Why gather for a writing circle?
We want to feel more of who we are…shape our stories, and empower our voices.
Writing offers a space, “a certain breathing room for spirit” (John Updike). Together, we create a supportive container to write, breathe, and share. When we know who we are, more of what we want, we get to choose where to wander.
When we listen to our MUSE, we follow the pulse of inspiration to create.
We are stronger. And softer. More connected. More empowered to live our feminine values in the world. We need it. The world needs it.
I’m excited to write with you and share this nourishing, empowering experience.
Why commit to gathering more than once?
Personal transformation happens in layers. It’s not a one-and-done process.
Throughout the year, we will explore specific themes that give us greater understanding our our world and our own place within it - not as passive witnesses but as active creators. Reading stories teaches us about the world; writing our own stories teaches us about ourselves.
Examples of themes: Arrivals & Departures, Softening, Harmony & Dissonance, Our Real Names, Foundations, Homecoming, Deep Listening, Voice Activation, Creative Alchemy, Body as Ally, Self-Intimacy, Meet your Muse, etc.
After a few monthly circles, you may experience:
Enthusiasm when you reach for your journal

Testimonials
I felt inspired by the richness of beauty, feminity, connection with other women, their insights and stories.
I noticed resonance with words and topics in the days following. I highly recommend being part of Leslie’s gentle women’s circles for support and reflection on your journey.
- BRENDA MEYERS
What a special time.
Leslie has such a beautiful gift for facilitating creativity, crafting welcoming spaces and bringing people together.
- REBECCA CONROW
Leslie makes this so comfortable and easy even for a "non" writer!
She gives you prompts that help unlock the writing part of our brain that we all have. I would go again and I would take a friend!
- LAURA BOWIN
Leslie's MUSE writing circle offers an experience of the senses and dips into creative beauty.
She gently brings you into intuition & relaxation through a variety of mindfulness & somatic noticing exercises, which opens the body, mind and sense to your creative writing energy. The writing prompts and exercises are accessible, fun, and evocative. I'll be meeting my MUSE again at the next event.
