I teach yoga classes, workshops, and retreats on the Central Coast of California. In all my classes, I aspire to help unshackle your creativity, feel your body as an ally, and cultivate self-intimacy. I teach at The Center SLO, Hotel San Luis Obispo, and The Yoga Standard.
Slow Flow - Wednesday 10-11:15am, The Center SLO | In-studio
Suitable for all levels. My flow and stretch classes link breath and movement in a series of flowing sequences to build warmth, stamina, strength, and grace in the body, while promoting mental inspiration and calm. Expect to explore Sun Salutations, sequences of standing and seated poses, including basic arm balances, twists, core work, backbends, and supported inversions, ending with longer-held (2-5min) yin poses. Develop your pranayama and meditation practice. My classes are often thematic, utilizing myth, metaphor, chakras, or narrative for greater soul growth and expansion. Think sweaty and spiritual.
Vinyasa | Sweet & Spicy - Friday 10-11 am, Hotel San Luis Obispo, High Bar | Outdoors *Donation-based class Venmo @leslie-stjohn
Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Vinyasa Level 1. As you mindfully integrate movement and breath, this Vinyasa class is aimed at the seasoned beginner who has Level 1 experience and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their yoga practice. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and may incorporate some arm balances and deeper backbends. Classes are often thematic, utilizing myth, metaphor, chakras, or narrative for greater soul growth and expansion. Again, sweaty-spiritual.
